Ghosted 20 Volume is made for creating a brighter base before colouring your hair with Attitude. Our semi-permanent shades show their full intensity on pre-lightened hair, especially bright, pastel and neon colours.
This 20 Volume kit is a balanced option for at-home bleaching and is suitable for many lighter hair types, including light blonde, medium blonde, dark blonde and light brown hair. It can also be a good choice for first-time bleachers who need visible lift but do not want to start with a stronger developer.
The blue-based bleach formula helps counter unwanted warm or orange tones while lightening, making it a useful first step before applying your favourite Attitude shade.
Best results
Use Ghosted 20 Volume when your hair is blonde to light brown and you want moderate lift before colouring.
For very light, fine or previously bleached hair, 10 Volume may be enough. For darker hair that needs stronger lift, 30 Volume may be more suitable. Higher developer volumes can increase the risk of dryness, breakage and scalp irritation, so choose carefully and always follow the instructions on the packaging.
The final result depends on your starting hair colour, hair condition, previous treatments, processing time and application. Always do a patch test and strand test before bleaching to check lift, timing and hair condition.
Which volume should you choose?
- 10 Volume / 3%
- Best for very light, fine or previously bleached hair when only gentle lift is needed.
- 20 Volume / 6%
- Best for light blonde, medium blonde, dark blonde and light brown hair. A good option for many first-time bleachers or finer/drier hair that still needs visible lift.
- 30 Volume / 9%
- For darker hair that needs stronger lift. Use with extra care.
- 40 Volume / 12%
- For very dark or thick hair and advanced use only. Not recommended for beginners.

How to use
1. Prep
Read the full instructions before starting. Wear gloves, protect your clothes and workspace, and do a patch test and strand test before bleaching.
2. Mix
Mix the bleach powder and peroxide activator exactly as instructed on the packaging. Do not change the mixing ratio.
3. Apply
Apply evenly to the areas you want to lighten. Avoid overlapping bleach on already fragile or over-processed hair.
4. Watch carefully
Check your hair regularly during processing. Do not leave bleach on longer than the instructions allow.
5. Rinse & care
Rinse thoroughly and follow with nourishing aftercare. Once your hair is ready, apply your chosen Attitude Semi-Permanent Hair Dye.

One kit is usually enough for short hair or root touch-ups. For longer or thicker hair, use 2–3 boxes.
Aftercare & colour prep
After bleaching, your hair may need toning or extra care before colouring.
Use Attitude Pure White Toner on level 9–10 pre-lightened hair to help reduce yellow warmth and create a cleaner blonde base.
Use Moonlight No Yellow Shampoo to maintain a cooler blonde tone.
Use the Holyplex hair care routine to help care for bleached hair and keep it feeling stronger, softer and more manageable.
Good to know
Ghosted 20 Volume is a bleaching kit, not a semi-permanent hair dye. It lightens the hair to create a better base for colour.
Do not use bleach on irritated, damaged or sensitive scalp. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use on eyebrows or eyelashes. Always follow the instructions on the packaging carefully.
If your hair is very dark, heavily coloured, damaged or chemically treated, we recommend asking a professional hairdresser before bleaching at home.
