Description
Ghosted 30 Volume is a stronger activator for hair that needs more lift before colouring. It is designed to be mixed with Attitude Ghosted Bleach Powder to help pre-lighten the hair and create a brighter base for your chosen Attitude colour.
Pre-lightening helps vivid, pastel and neon Attitude shades show up brighter and more vibrant. This 30 Volume / 9% activator is best suited for darker hair types that need stronger lift than 10 or 20 Volume can provide.
Ghosted 30 Volume is not a bleach powder and will not lighten the hair when used on its own. Always mix it with Attitude Ghosted Bleach Powder and follow the instructions on the packaging carefully.
Because 30 Volume is stronger than 10 or 20 Volume, it should be used with extra care.
Best results
Use Ghosted 30 Volume when your hair is darker and needs stronger lift before applying colour.
For very light, fine, dry or previously bleached hair, 10 or 20 Volume may be a better choice. For very dark, thick or resistant hair, 40 Volume may be needed, but this is advanced use and not recommended for beginners.
The final result depends on your starting hair colour, hair condition, previous treatments, mixing ratio, processing time and application. Always do a patch test and strand test before bleaching.
Which volume should you choose?
- 10 Volume / 3%
- Best for very light, fine or previously bleached hair when only gentle lift is needed.
- 20 Volume / 6%
- Best for light blonde, medium blonde, dark blonde and light brown hair. A good option for many first-time bleachers.
- 30 Volume / 9%
- Best for darker hair that needs stronger lift. Use with extra care and avoid using on fragile, damaged or over-processed hair.
- 40 Volume / 12%
- Strongest option. Best for very dark, thick or resistant hair. Advanced use only and not recommended for beginners.
When in doubt, start with a lower volume or ask a professional hairdresser for advice.

How to use
1. Prep
Read the full instructions before starting. Wear gloves, protect your clothes and workspace, and do a patch test and strand test before bleaching.
2. Mix
Mix Ghosted 30 Volume Bleach Activator with Attitude Ghosted Bleach Powder exactly as instructed on the packaging. Do not change the mixing ratio.
3. Apply
Apply evenly to the areas you want to lighten. Avoid overlapping bleach on fragile, previously bleached or over-processed hair.
4. Watch carefully
Check your hair regularly during processing. Do not leave bleach on longer than the instructions allow.
5. Rinse & care
Rinse thoroughly and follow with nourishing aftercare. Once your hair is ready, apply your chosen Attitude Semi-Permanent Hair Dye.
What to use it with
Use Ghosted 30 Volume only with Attitude Ghosted Bleach Powder.
This product is not a complete bleaching kit. Bleach powder, gloves and application tools are sold separately unless included in a kit.
One bottle is usually enough for short hair or root touch-ups. For longer or thicker hair, use 2–3 bottles.
Aftercare & colour prep
After bleaching, your hair may need toning or extra care before colouring.
Use Attitude Pure White Toner on level 9–10 pre-lightened hair to help reduce yellow warmth and create a cleaner blonde base.
Use Moonlight No Yellow Shampoo to maintain a cooler blonde tone.
Use the Holyplex hair care routine to help care for bleached hair and keep it feeling softer, stronger and more manageable.
Good to know
Ghosted 30 Volume is a peroxide activator, not a semi-permanent hair dye and not a lightener by itself. It must be mixed with bleach powder to lighten the hair.
Do not use on irritated, damaged or sensitive scalp. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not use on eyebrows or eyelashes. Always follow the instructions on the packaging carefully.
Because 30 Volume is a stronger developer, it is not recommended for fragile, heavily damaged, previously bleached or over-processed hair.
If your hair is very dark, box-dyed, chemically treated, damaged or if you are unsure which volume to choose, ask a professional hairdresser before bleaching at home.
